Drop alerts arrive after each scan, so how fast you hear depends on your scan cadence above: an alert on the Free plan’s monthly scan can be up to four weeks behind the same alert on Scale’s daily scan.

Questions about plans and billing
What counts as a tracked prompt?
A tracked prompt is one buyer question we watch for you, like “best soy candles for gifts.” Every scan runs each of your tracked prompts on every engine your plan includes, then records whether you’re mentioned or cited and who gets named instead.
What happens when I exceed my prompt limit?
You can’t go over. When you reach your plan’s cap we ask you to remove a prompt or move up a tier before adding more. We never silently drop prompts or add overage charges.
Can I change plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at your next renewal. On App Store installs, Shopify handles the proration on your bill either way.
What happens to an annual plan if I switch tiers partway through?
On App Store installs, Shopify credits the unused portion of your current annual term toward the new plan, so you only pay the difference, and you keep the annual discount.
Do you need access to my orders or customers?
No. PositionBird requests read-only access to your products only; we never request order or customer scopes. RevenueBird's ledger is built from the PositionBird web pixel, which reports each completed checkout's totals and products to us with no customer details attached: no names, emails, addresses, or IP addresses.
Can I use PositionBird without a Shopify store?
Yes. Any website can create an account at positionbird.io/signup and pay by card on the same Starter, Growth and Scale prices, with the same 7-day trial. Web signup accounts crawl your public website to suggest prompts instead of reading Shopify products, so Shopify-only rows like the revenue ledger do not apply.
