Accessibility statement

PositionBird is committed to making its website and Shopify app usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, switch devices, or keyboard-only navigation.

Scope

This statement covers the PositionBird marketing website and the PositionBird app embedded in the Shopify admin.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. PositionBird is partially conformant: most content and functionality meets Level AA, but some parts described under known limitations do not yet fully conform.

Measures we take

  • The embedded app is built with Shopify's Polaris design system, whose components are designed and tested for accessibility (keyboard operability, focus management, and screen-reader labeling).
  • Pages use semantic HTML with landmarks, headings, and labeled form controls.
  • All functionality is operable with a keyboard alone.
  • Interactive elements have visible focus indicators.
  • Text and interface colors are chosen to meet Level AA contrast ratios.
  • Informative images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Accessibility is considered when reviewing new features before release.

Known limitations

  • Some score and trend visualizations in the app dashboard are primarily visual; we provide the underlying numbers in text, but not every chart has a full structured text alternative yet.
  • Answers quoted from third-party AI engines (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude) are reproduced verbatim and may themselves contain formatting or language that is not fully accessible.
  • The app runs inside the Shopify admin, so some surrounding interface elements are controlled by Shopify rather than PositionBird.

Compatibility

PositionBird is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and with common screen readers including VoiceOver and NVDA. The embedded app requires a browser supported by the Shopify admin.
